Exciting News!

Pastor Dwight is pleased to announce that Pastor Mario Bravo and his family from Nicolas Romero, Mexico, along with Daniela Dla Rosa Figuero, our Mexico Mission Team Merge translator, will be visiting Alert Church June 24-30.

Grandparents

Covenant Cedars Bible Camp is offering a new retreat for Grandparents and their Grandchildren. The dates for this retreat called Generations are May 31-June 2. Brochures are available on the Welcome Kiosk with more details. (Grandchildren who can attend must be ages 6-14.)

2019 ECC Triennial “I Am” Conference

It is a new day and God is doing new things among Covenant women. We want all voices represented this summer as we gather to discover how God is taking the women of ECC deeper in Christ and further in mission, together. As women, we are daughters of the great I AM. This triennial conference is an invitation for every woman to grow in her understanding of both who God is and whom God created her to be.  We dream of inspiring every woman to confidently affirm and live out the reality: “I am the daughter of the great I AM” Join us July 18-21, 2019 in Minneapolis, MN for a triennial gathering for women by women sponsored by Make & Deepen Disciples. In the Evangelical Covenant Church, we are committed to fostering the flourishing of women as disciples and disciple makers.

Mexico Mission Trip

Alert is sending a team to Nicolas Romero, Mexico this summer to help the Covenant Church with their Bible School. We are still waiting for confirmation of travel dates, but our trip will probably be late July and early August. Merge staff would like to know how many are planning to go, so if you have a desire to go this summer, please let Pastor Dwight know.

Hospice Volunteers

From Meadowlark Hospice:

All of us search for meaning in life.  One path some have taken is sharing end of life journeys with others.  It is a path strewn with both sadness and joy.  In addition, one often leads to a greater understanding of life, death and self.

As a hospice volunteer, it is our privilege to care for and learn from those who seek assistance in facing death with courage, comfort, peace, and dignity. If direct patient care is not for you; there are other opportunities to help with administration duties or fundraisers, or you can do all three.  All our volunteers make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.  Please call Darlene Melton, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator; at

785-632-2225 or fill out and return the form you can find in the church office.

Church Membership

If you are interested in joining our church, instructions and applications can be picked up in the church office. They are located on the half-wall.

Bibles

Study Bibles are available for those who do not have a Bible of their own. You may pick one up at the Welcome Center. The Bibles are provided as a gift to you.
