Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoe Box Ministry
Our church family is participating in filling shoeboxes again this holiday season. Shoeboxes are located in the foyer. If your family chooses to fill a shoebox, please return them to the church by Sunday, Nov 9. Information regarding how to pack a shoebox are on the website: samaritanspurse.org (click on How to Pack a Shoebox). If you have a questionable item, you can type it in to know whether it‘s approved to send or not. The children receiving the boxes only will receive one in their lifetime so please choose good quality items. Thank you for blessing children this season!
Ag Stress and Resilience Workshop
There is an “Ag Stress and Resilience Workshop” and free dinner at the Grass & Grain Farm and Ranch Show, located at the National Guard Armory in Manhattan, KS on Nov. 12, at 5:15 p.m. after the show closes. The workshop will be covering the important topic of suicide as the suicide rate in the agriculture community is higher than most other industries. The flyer has an RSVP date of Nov. 3 for dinner, but Donna can take reservations up until Friday, Nov. 7. Or if you don’t want to attend the meal, you may just attend the panel discussion afterwards. Donna Sullivan, Editor/Publisher for Grass & Grain (email address: Donna Sullivan countian@twinvalley.net)
