GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
The last MomsCONNECT for the spring semester is April 17 at First Baptist, and we are so excited to welcome Dana Bowman from Lindsborg join us to share her story! Dana is a mom of two boys, part-time professor at Bethany College, blogger at www.momsieblog.com, and the author of ‘Bottled: A Mom’s Guide to Early Recovery’. Refreshments, a craft, and childcare are provided, and the entire event is free to attend! If you are a mom, you are invited to join us!
Ice Cream Social
Please look over the Ice Cream Social tasks and sign-up sheets which are located on the Welcome Center. We would appreciate your help. You will note that the need for ice has been removed now that we have an ice maker in the main kitchen.
New Sunday School Class beginning! The younger adult class will start a new study in 1 John, asking the question, “How Shall We Then Live?” At the time this book was written, John needed to address some important issues of the day. These issues that are still very important now, such as teaching the Word of God properly, loving each other well, and being fully devoted to Jesus. Join us after worship as we study and apply this important book!
Diaper Shower
With the new arrival of four new babies here at Alert, let us bless the Chaffee, Wright, Mitoska, and Hawkins family with diapers! It is an Alert tradition to shower every new arrival with plenty of diapers, big and small. If you feel led to bless these families, you can leave your gift by the mailboxes with their name, for them to pick up at their convenience.
Men’s Encounter
Men’s Encounter is a time for us men to get away and encounter God, perhaps like never before; a time to consider, give thought to our lives, and discover solutions to the unique challenges facing men.
Who would you like to provide solutions for you? Who better than God?
It is important to take the time to step away and gain perspective. Whether you think you have it all figured out or not, you will benefit from attending and you will come home with no regrets. From the time you leave until the time you return, you will have nothing to worry about; all meals, transportation and lodging is included. April 20-22, 2018, with multiple launch points. Registration can be done at encounterthecross.com and our church will cover half the registration fee for anyone going.
