*******As we seek to minister in the world, we know that globally an estimated 4.7 million persons are caught in sex trafficking today, and approximately 250,000-350,000 American children and youth are at risk for sex trafficking each year.
In response, the Evangelical Covenant Church has committed to the FREE initiative. FREE is an anti-sex trafficking initiative of the Evangelical Covenant Church that calls the church to oppose the evil of sex trafficking both domestically and globally. Next Sunday we will be receiving an offering for this cause. ***********

5th Quarter in Clay Center
5th quarter is a gathering for students grades 9-12. It will be after the first home football game, Friday September 10th. We will meet on the football field after the game from approximately 930-1100pm. Games and food will be provided. Sponsored by Clay County Community High School YLINK Club and the Clay Center Ministerial Association. Thank you!
S H O E B O X needs are:
This is a great time to pick up EXTRA school supplies for the shoeboxes.
School supplies needed are:
colored pencils pencils pencil sharpeners crayons
rulers glue sticks scissors solar powered calculators
notebooks coloring books
Other needed items are: fishing line, sewing needles, clothesline, screws and nails, and small hand tools.
We are still working hard to reach our goal. If you don’t have time to shop, a money donation may be given to Amber Linhardt or it may be placed in the shoebox tote located in the coat rack area. Envelopes to place your donation in are available in the Shoebox Tote. There are several women who are willing to shop for the needed shoebox items.

Breathe Gathering
October 1-3, Covenant Cedars Bible Camp. The heart and vision of Breathe is to ENCOURAGE women in their faith journey, EQUIP them through teaching and community connection with resources for personal growth & spiritual development, so that they can fully ENGAGE their world/sphere of influence. Breathe will utilize a multi-speaker format, each speaker will build upon the previous and lead us into the next. Extra bonus: Our own Pastor Stephanie will be guest speaking at this event.
