Prayer Tent at Praisefest

This year’s Praisefest in Manhattan is scheduled for Saturday, September 16th. We are being asked to serve in the Prayer Tent ministry again. If you are available for part of the day to pray for those who come into the tent for prayer, please let Pastor Dwight know of your willingness to serve.  Thank you.

 

 

Childrens Church & Sunday School Teachers Needed

We are so appreciative of all the volunteers who help with Children’s Church each week!  If you’ve never had the opportunity to be a part of this ministry and would like to be involved, please let LuAnn or Shanna know.  We are also looking for a couple Sunday School teachers for the upcoming year.  If you feel led to help with this, please visit with LuAnn.

Thank You

A big thank you to everyone who supplied backpacks and who helped during Schoola Palooza!  We were able to help nearly 100 local children have the supplies they need to start the school year!  So many families were very appreciative!

 

If you were unable to come by during the actual event, we still have supplies available in the fellowship hall.  Stop by any time through Aug. 13th to grab anything you may need.

 

Church Administrative Secretary Position Opening

Victory Village Assistance

Victory Village Christian Academy has reached out asking for monetary donations to help them continue with their ministry.  If you feel led to help them or have more questions, you can reach out to them directly at 620-694-7938.  You can also just make a note on your offering here that you would like it to go to Victory Village.

Diaper Shower

With the arrival of Rowen, let us bless the Linhardt family with diapers! It is an Alert tradition to shower every new arrival with plenty of diapers, big and small.   If you feel led to bless the Linhardts, you can leave your gift by the mailboxes with their name, for them to pick up at their convenience.

The old CRP north of the church is available to be put up for hay again this year. Last year around 40 tons were removed. We will offer it up for sealed bids on a per ton basis that is removed. Please submit bids to Ray Shultz, Matt Sullivan or Darren Hofmann by July 31st. We would ask that bales would be removed and paid in full by September 15, 2023

The Christian Education Board would greatly appreciate your help in working the event. Volunteers will sign up for a 1-hour (or more) shift to help families find their way around as they come gather school supplies. Please see Katie Wendland if you’re willing to help but would rather not use the link. Thank you!

Dear Alert Family,

The Holy Spirit was moving this camp season!!  We had a total of 10 saved teens and 9 baptisms!  Praise God!!  This is the “first” time campers asked to be baptized!  And it happened at both the boys and girls camp. Thank you for your prayers and support as well as allowing us to use the church van to haul our foster girl teens to camp and back. Our foster teen girls LOVED the prom night and looked gorgeous in the jewelry that was donated.

Thank you!!! To each and every person who played a part in VBS this year…..you are so very appreciated! Whether you purchased needed supplies and snacks, prayed for children, gave of your time during the week to help with any job needed, brought kids, or whatever else I am forgetting, thank you! It truly is a church effort to bring together kids from several communities to spend the week learning about Jesus. It brought me great joy to watch each of you “shine” in your special roles.
