Julotta is a special tradition at Alert that we love to celebrate on Christmas morning. We gather at 6:00 a.m. in the sanctuary for a candlelit service of Christmas carols, special numbers, reading of the Christmas story, and a monologue portraying one of the characters from the Christmas story. If you would like to bring a special number for Julotta, please let Pastor Dwight know what you would like to do. Vocal and instrumental numbers are welcome.
Covenant Women: Join us as we sit at the feet of Jesus during the often busy holiday season. We all bring our own lens with which we view the world. Likewise, we come with assumptions about who God is. Based on experience, misunderstanding of Scripture, or otherwise, understanding the character of God is essential to understanding the gospel in properly. Beginning October 28th (6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall), join us as we study the distorted ways we tend to view God and look to Scripture for the truth.
Beginning 6:30pm on October 28, w new study in the book of Romans will be offered at the Renfro’s house, 12720 Whippoorwill Lane in Randolph. All are welcome to join!
This topic has been requested numerous times! Pastor Stephanie went through peacemaker training over 10 years ago and will share insights from Ken Sande’s work at Peacemaker Ministries. We will take a look at dealing with conflict in our everyday lives, and have some real talk about those challenges. Around a light breakfast (and of course, coffee) our conversation will lead us towards equipping us to respond to conflict biblically, and to transforming the challenging relationships with the power of the Gospel.
