GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Kids Asking About Communion?

Pastor Stephanie went live on Facebook, Thursday, April 1st to talk about the last week of Jesus’ life on earth, specifically focusing on communion. If you are not sure if your kids are ready to take communion yet, this is a great resource for them to watch and begin their understanding of what communion is, why we practice it, and who should participate. Pastor Stephanie also has some great resources to help you talk to your kids to find out if they are ready to take communion or not, so talk with her if you are interested in these.

IF: Gathering:  A Women’s event

His kingdom is coming. We want His will to be done on this earth as it is in heaven and our heart and prayer is that “on earth as it is in heaven” starts with us. And we would stop wondering if it is possible to change the world. It’s possible. This year, at IF:Gathering 2021, we are going to talk about how we do that. The theme of those two days is going to be “Even If.” Even if the worst happens, we won’t lose hope. Come join us as we remember that together. April 9-10 at CCCC. Register at claycentercovenant.com/if-signup

Your Divine Design – New Adult Class

God uniquely shaped you, different from anybody else in the world, for a purpose. And that purpose is to build up the Church and to serve others. (Ephesians 4:11-16) But what does that service look like? It is a combination of the gifts God has given you, the passion that’s in your heart, the experiences put in your path, and the abilities you’ve been given. From April 11th – 25th, we’ll:
-identify the passions, abilities, and experiences that have shaped you for God’s purpose.

-help you understand the gifts God has given you and how they may be used

-look at the Scripture says about how your gifts are to be used in the Body of Christ, and to watch for how these gifts can be abused

Experiencing God’s Presence

Covenant Women Coffee & Conversation

We all experience God differently, and sometimes we may wonder if we are “doing” it right. So, let’s talk about that.

Join us Saturday, April 24th at 9 a.m. for Covenant Women’s first Coffee and Conversation of 2021 – where a panel of women from all walks of life with share their experiences in how they connect with God – in expected and unexpected ways. And even what they do when he feels silent. Coffee and Panera will be there, of course.  Childcare WILL be provided!

Church Membership

If you are interested in joining our church, instructions and applications can be picked up in the church office.  They are located on the wall in the church office.

Bibles

Study Bibles are available for those who do not have a Bible of their own. You may pick one up at the Welcome Center. The Bibles are provided as a gift to you.

New Women’s Bible Study Begins This Week

When circumstances change and we get swept along with the current of life, it can be a struggle to stay on course with knowing who we are and Who we belong to. We get dragged down by things like avoiding difficulties, distorted priorities, and anything that distracts us from placing God at the center of our life. But if you build your life on a solid foundation, when the storms of life come you will be able to stand firm in assurance of who you are… and have your faith strengthened in the process. When the Storm Comes is a Bible study designed to help you live your faith on the solid foundation of Christ. Beginning this Wednesday for 6 weeks, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the fellowship hall.

Diaper Shower

It is an Alert tradition to shower every new arrival with plenty of diapers, big and small.   If you feel led to bless the Linhardt and Wright families, you can leave your gift by the mailboxes with their name, for them to pick up at their convenience.

New 3-Week Adult Sunday School Class

We do not look at the Bible like we look at any other book and do not read the Bible like we read any other book. So, it makes sense that often it feels like we do not understand the Bible like we understand other books. Starting February 28th, you will learn the “nuts and bolts” of the purpose of the Bible (surprise! It is not what you think it is) and learn about the best way to read and understand it.

Operation shoebox just posted that 9,113,853 boxes were packed this year!

Diaper Shower

It is an Alert tradition to shower every new arrival with plenty of diapers, big and small.   If you feel led to bless the Linhardt and Wright families, you can leave your gift by the mailboxes with their name, for them to pick up at their convenience.
