Please be in prayer for the upcoming Mexico mission trip.  While there, our team will be leading crafts and recreation for VBS and growing relationships with the children and their families.

 

Bibles

Study Bibles are available for those who do not have a Bible of their own. You may pick one up at the Welcome Center. The Bibles are provided as a gift to you.

 

Schoola Palooza

Alert Covenant Church is partnering with Backroad Baja and Leonardville Lions Club to provide Schoola Palooza once again for area students 3pm-8pm on July 31 and August 1! The Christian Education Board would greatly appreciate your help in working the event. Volunteers will sign up for a 1-hour (or more) shift to help families find their way around as they come gather school supplies. Please see Katie Wendland if you’re willing to help but would rather not use the link. Thank you!

In preparing for Schoola Palooza, we would like to offer you the opportunity to be a part of this outreach!  Please consider purchasing a new backpack for a child who needs it, and have it to the church by Sunday, July 30th.  The big white tub is under the coatrack for your purchases.  Thank you so much!!

 

Dear Alert Family,

The Holy Spirit was moving this camp season!!  We had a total of 10 saved teens and 9 baptisms!  Praise God!!  This is the “first” time campers asked to be baptized!  And it happened at both the boys and girls camp. Thank you for your prayers and support as well as allowing us to use the church van to haul our foster girl teens to camp and back. Our foster teen girls LOVED the prom night and looked gorgeous in the jewelry that was donated.

Thank you!!! To each and every person who played a part in VBS this year…..you are so very appreciated! Whether you purchased needed supplies and snacks, prayed for children, gave of your time during the week to help with any job needed, brought kids, or whatever else I am forgetting, thank you! It truly is a church effort to bring together kids from several communities to spend the week learning about Jesus. It brought me great joy to watch each of you “shine” in your special roles.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is very close, but it’s not too late to sign up!  If you or a friend suddenly find you have VBS week open, you can still register!  Simply go to:  www.myvbs.org/alert.

Our VBS program will be Sunday, June 11th during worship.  Everyone is invited to enjoy cake and punch following the program.

Nancy has started a fund for our VBS missions project.  If you’d like to contribute towards this, but don’t have kids VBS age, you can designate your gift and place it in the offering.

Costume Jewelry needed!

Camp LIT will be having a “prom” night at our Girls’ camp (June 3) and we need jewelry for them to wear with their formal gowns.  It can be earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.  Please be aware that you will not get these items back.  Questions, contact Karen Rundquist.

Your donations may be left in the blue basket that is located under the mailboxes near the Fellowship Hall.
