GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Help is needed to hand out water bottles this Saturday, June 29 – Randolph Independence Day Celebration.  We will meet somewhere between the Blue Valley High School and Middle School parking lots at 3:45 with the parade to begin at 4:00.

Flint Hills Foster Teen Camp Need

Alert is collecting liquid detergent for the Flint hills teen camp. Each camp washes all support staff and all campers t shirts daily while there. If rain or mud then extra washing, required as well. Any kind of detergent, or any size. Thank you.

Shoebox Need

Please look for erasers and pencil sharpeners for shoe boxes. We are always short on those when packing. It is also a struggle to get shoe boxes for older children. This year we are going to make fishing kits and sewing kits to help meet this need. If you have needles, pins, small sewing scissors, thread, buttons, hooks, snaps, thimbles material, fishing line, small bobbers, corks, or fishing hooks. Please bring those in and we will have some work times to assemble them in the future. Also, please be praying for recipients of the boxes and Samaritans’ Purse as they help so-o-o many natural disaster victims this year on top of shoe boxes.

Mexico Mission Team Need

Below you will find a list of items they are needing:

Animal print duct tape

Pipe cleaners

Pony beads

Stencils of animals (2 x4, 3 x 6, anything that would fit on a notebook)

6-8 large craft scissors

100 sheets of craft foam

4-6 packs of colored sharpies

Sequins

Coffee stir sticks (single hole)

If you feel led to help the mission team with this need, all items can be brought to church and left under the coat rack.  They will need items at the church by July 12th. Also, they are needing someone with a Cricut machine who could cut some animal shapes out of fabric for a craft they have planned. If you can help with this specific need, please let Rose know.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

HELP! Please stay after worship service to help us move chairs aside for Vacation Bible School.

Pray for a VBS Kid

Out in the foyer, you’ll notice a board full of stars… the names of each kid that has registered for Vacation Bible School so far. We would love for you to partner with us in praying for one (or two or three) of them on your own. Take a star from the board and keep it in your Bible and commit to praying for the child as the week goes on. It’s a wonderful way you can help out even if you can’t be there during the week.

Come join us “escape Manhattan”! Thursday, June 6th at 12:30 p.m.! Meet at the church at 11:30 and be ready to find some clues and solve a mystery.

RSVP by June 4th for this event so that I know if we need more than one room! Bring $10 to participate!
