Hospice Volunteers

From Meadowlark Hospice:

All of us search for meaning in life.  One path some have taken is sharing end of life journeys with others.  It is a path strewn with both sadness and joy.  In addition, one often leads to a greater understanding of life, death and self.

As a hospice volunteer, it is our privilege to care for and learn from those who seek assistance in facing death with courage, comfort, peace, and dignity. If direct patient care is not for you; there are other opportunities to help with administration duties or fundraisers, or you can do all three.  All our volunteers make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.  Please call Darlene Melton, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator; at

785-632-2225 or fill out and return the form you can find in the church office.

Church Membership

If you are interested in joining our church, instructions and applications can be picked up in the church office. They are located on the half-wall.

Bibles

Study Bibles are available for those who do not have a Bible of their own. You may pick one up at the Welcome Center. The Bibles are provided as a gift to you.

Men’s Encounter

Men’s Encounter is a time for us men to get away and encounter God, perhaps like never before; a time to consider, give thought to our lives, and discover solutions to the unique challenges facing men.

Who would you like to provide solutions for you?  Who better than God?

It is important to take the time to step away and gain perspective.  Whether you think you have it all figured out or not, you will benefit from attending and you will come home with no regrets. From the time you leave until the time you return, you will have nothing to worry about; all meals, transportation and lodging is included.  January 31- February 2, 2019, with multiple launch points. Registration can be done at encounterthecross.com.

Jim & Melissa Brady (Formerly “The Jim Brady Trio”)

The Jim & Melissa Brady will be performing live in concert at the Clay Center Community High School on February 16th at 4:30 p.m. All seats are reserved at www.itickets.com or call or drop into Mayo’s or Ferguson’s in Clay Center.  Reserved seats are $15-25.  Call 785-632-2656 or 785-632-3121.

“Souper” Bowl Sunday

Please remember to bring cans of soup and crackers to help support the Northern Riley County Community Food Basket on Sunday, February 3, 2019.  A bright green storage tote will be available to put your donations in.

Ladies Bible Study

On each Tuesday from 6:30-8:15 please join us for a time of sharing, praying and interacting with God’s word. We have a fellowship time (usually with a snack) and share life and prayer requests and then pray together. After that we read and discuss a passage of scripture that we have all written (or realistically all attempted to write) in our journals. We have been amazed at how this writing, meditating and discussing the passages really helps us learn God’s word. Absolutely come as you are. We really want to have a place to be ourselves and grow in friendship with each other and with God. There is always room at our table. If you have any questions please text, call or email Laura. 970.402.1196, laura@renfroconsulting.com

We will be discussing Acts 10:1-23a at our study on January 29th. I have found using a notebook or journal write only on the left side and number the verses.  Some ladies even do words of Christ in red! Then as we discuss you can use the right side for notes or doodles.
